On March 15, 2017 at 1:00 pm, the Marine Corps Battle Color Detachment will perform on the Peatross Parade Deck on Parris Island. The Detachment includes the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, Silent Drill Platoon and the Marine Corps Color Guard.
The Silent Drill Platoon demonstrates a precision drill routine using non-verbal cues. As you watch, the only thing you hear is the cadence of their rifles.
Enjoy the music of the Drum and Bugle Corps and the splendid display of the USMC Color Guard.
This performance is free and open to the public.

Hello
I’m am interested in visiting Paris Island Marine Base. My father was a drill instructor there late 50’s early 60’s. I was born there at the hospital. We left there when I turned two.
I would like to know how to go about a visit since I do not have a sponsor and not military. Information on hotels would be helpful also.
Hi Tia,
Go to the Visiting Groups tab. Look at the last paragraph (in bold letters) at the bottom of the page. Download the FriendsofParrisIsland.PDF, fill it out and return it to the security manager listed on the form. Let them know you do not have a sponsor but would like to visit. Include where you want to go e.g. I’d like to visit the museum or I’d like to attend a recruit graduation.
Local hotels are listed under the tab Places to Stay.
Thank you for writing.
